Ormazabal's prefabricated distribution substations have arrived to Barranquilla. These are practical solutions to give a very pleasant urban vision to the medium and low voltage electrical networks. Industrias Ectricol has been supplying these distribution substations to one of the most important infrastructure projects in the city at the moment, the expansion of Calle 79, providing the solution to improve the aesthetic and electrical safety conditions by channeling and distributing the networks through the same distribution substations.

Safety standards at these distribution centers guarantee adequate isolation for pedestrians and property owners on Calle 79 through their concrete enclosure and insulated electrical accessories, which meet the highest international safety standards and also have an impeccable aesthetic, placing them in the spotlight.

PFU Distribution Substations consist of a concrete enclosure with a monoblock structure containing all the electrical components: the SF6-insulated GIS-type Medium Voltage Cubicles, control devices and interconnections between the various elements. The essential advantage of these distribution substations is the fact that not only the manufacturing process, but also the assembly and interior equipment can be carried out entirely in-situ, thus guaranteeing uniform quality and considerably reducing civil engineering and assembly work at the installation point.

The ORMABAT solution is a compact distribution substation, featuring a monoblock structure and designed for ground installation, which can incorporate SF6-insulated GIS-type medium-voltage cubicles, the transformer, and interconnecting and auxiliary elements. Its technical characteristics are ideal for this type of project, and together with the PFU3 prefabricated distribution centers, they will give a new and more modern look of Calle 79 with the implementation of the latest in medium voltage technology.
