Since the beginning of this year, the professional elective course of Cells and Electrical Switchboards has been developed in the Electrical Engineering program from La Salle University and it is aimed for students in their lasts semesters. This course develops the implementation of basic knowledge of electrical engineering, giving an extra value, both to the university and to the students, by making technical visits to the INDUSTRIAS ECTRICOL S.A.S. plant located in the Celta Trade Park Industrial Park in Funza, Cundinamarca, where they develop practical activities in the field, allowing them to have interaction and direct knowledge with the processes of design, manufacture, testing and quality control of cells and switchboards, strengthening their professional criteria as future electrical engineers. During the presential classes, visits to the plant and tests, an excellent performance and response has been observed by the students, who appreciate the practical content provided by INDUSTRIAS ECTRICOL S.A.S. as a high educational value. INDUSTRIAS ECTRICOL S.A.S. is consolidated as a responsible organization in the educational field and will continue this effort through the second semester of the year. This course is dictated by the Engineer Christian Vargas, Consultant for the Engineering and Applications field at the company, a professional with a wide experience in the national switchboard industry. Student comment: Luisangelis María Toussaint López "The visits to INDUSTRIAS ECTRICOL made it possible to visualize in a more detailed way what was learned in class". Joan Sebastián Silva Suarez "It was very satisfying to have this academic space that showed us in a practical way some applications of our professional career".
