Contact resistance tests

________________Contact resistance tests

Based on this test, the state of the contacts of power circuit breakers, splices and busbar joints, is determined in order to avoid hot spots that lead to energy losses, avoiding failures and major damage to switchboards and equipment.

The test is carried out with the Microhmeter RMO 2006 which allows to throw resistance values in microhms of the union or contact under test, giving an indicator according to comparison with the manufacturers' tables, regarding the condition of the equipment and the electrical connections or contacts, all of the above based on the ANSI/NETA 2003, IEC 62271-1, 62271-100, 62271-102 regulations.
